"Palliative" follows Dr. Nadia Tremonti through her work in Detroit, MI as she both helps families to ease the passing of their terminally ill children and find joy and meaning in living with chronic illness. The film was also the inspiration for the Emmy Award Nominated New York Times Op-Doc Short Documentary, "Dying in Your Mother's Arms."

Dr. Nadia Tremonti
Dr. Nadia Tremonti is the Medical Director for the Pediatric Palliative Care Team at Children’s Hospital of Michigan in Detroit, MI, which she founded in 2007. She is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Central Michigan University and is Board Certified in Pediatrics and in Hospice and Palliative Medicine and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. She also works as the Physician Leader of the “My Nest is Best” Pediatric Program of Angela Hospice. She is a native Detroiter. Her work has been shared in the documentaries “Palliative,”available for public viewing on Kanopy, and “Dying in Your Mother’s Arms,” released by the New York Times.
