ABOUT US

Roots & Roads Community Hospice Foundation was established as Casa de la Luz Foundation in 2000 as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. In 2021, the Foundation changed its name to more fully encompass our community work and the reach of our programming. Roots & Roads is governed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors. Healthcare organizations supported by our mission include Casa de la Luz Hospice, Banner Health, Aria Hospice, Tucson Medical Center, Harmony Hospice and Heartland Hospice, among others.
Our Mission

Our Vision
Hospice patients and their loved ones are empowered to transform the end-of-life experience into the final act of living well.

Life is a journey, an ever-changing pathway shaped by relationships, experiences, and discovery.
We too are on a journey. Recently, Roots & Roads Community Hospice Foundation initiated our long-planned vision to expand our end-of-life work more deeply in our community, and into Southeastern Arizona. Formerly Casa de la Luz Foundation, our new name and logo represent our continued commitment to our vision: ensuring hospice patients and their loved ones are empowered to transform the end-of-life experience into the final act of living well.
We hold dear our roots and will honor and build upon them as we spring forward with renewed energy, clarity and passion to provide resources, education and financial support to our beautiful community.
