Important message from ASU research team:

“If you are 18 years or older and have experienced the death of a deeply loved person in your life (at least 3 months ago), we would like to invite you to take part in a survey study that seeks to better understand the experience of grief, including the impact of social support or lack of support, different ways of coping with grief, and thinking about grief.
Your participation will help us gain valuable insights that will add to the scientific knowledge about grief and ultimately could inform better ways of supporting those who are grieving.
This study is so important for numerous reasons, including the longitudinal design (meaning, tracked over the course of time).
If you choose to participate, you will be asked to fill out an online survey that asks about your loss and your grief experience. After you have completed this survey, you will then be contacted again in 4.5 months to complete a second survey and then again in another 4.5 months to complete a third survey. Each survey will take approximately 30-45 minutes to complete.
Your responses will be kept confidential, and participation is voluntary. You can withdraw at any time without any consequences.
If you are interested in participating or would like more information, please click here. If you would like more information you can contact us at jcaccia@asu.edu.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to contribute to important research. We appreciate your time and support.
Respectfully,
Joanne Cacciatore, PhD and Kara Thieleman, PhD”
